Nikon D5500 Is The First Nikon DSLR Camera With Touch Screen

Like the adage better late than never, though quite late compared to other competitors, this is the first Nikon DSLR camera that utilizes the touch screen technology.

Nikon D5500 using LCD screen variangle size 3.2 inches with resolution 1.03 million dots. With a touch screen, we can choose a focal point with our fingertips, pinch to zoom in like a smartphone, and can also lock the focus and take the exposure simply by touching the screen.

Offal this camera is equipped with a 24-Megapixel CMOS DX sensor. Nikon D5500 also removed a low pass filter, so that the results expected sharper photos. The operational range was between ISO 100 up to 25.600.

In the event the launch, Nikon D5500 boasts as the world's smallest DSLR camera. Physically, this camera is the size 124mm × 97mm × 70 mm and weights (body only) is 420 grams. Internationally, Nikon D5500 will be available starting in February 2015 and sold at a price of USD 900 (body only). Package kit offer is US $ 1000 if with kit lens 18 – 55 mm or US $ 1,200 if with kit lens 14 – 140mm.
